Conditions of Hire

Conditions of hire
Hire of costumes is based upon an understanding of the following conditions:

  • Costumes are hired for a period of 3 days. If you are unable to return them in this time period, please talk to us about other arrangements. Costumes not returned on time (by Tuesday for weekend hire) will incur a late fee for each costume. A $10 late fee is incurred for each day each the costume is not returned and a $20 a day fee is incurred after the 2nd weekend until the full costume is returned. There is no exchange or refund once the costume has left the store.
  • We clean costumes upon their return, but do expect that reasonable care is taken in their treatment. Damage to a costume will incur an additional fee. Failure to return a costume will result in full retail price being charged. All additional charges are in addition to the hiring fee.
  • If you are unable to return the costume to our store during business hours, we do have an after-hours drop-box at a different location. Please contact us via phone or email (during business hours) for details.

Bookings

Is your party still a few weeks away? We take bookings for costume hire in the future. Once you've decided on the costume, we take your name, phone number and date of the event. You will be required to pay; preferably the full amount, or else a non-refundable booking fee of $20 per costume to hold the costume/s. We put a tag with your booking details on the chosen costume, and it will be packed and ready for you to collect/to be sent to you closer to your party. If the costume is not collected for your party and we are not notified beforehand, the full hiring fee will apply. See refunds for more information. If a costume has been booked and deposit paid, the deposit will be deducted from the total hire price and the remainder will be paid upon collection of the costume. A Bond will also be taken at the time of collection of your booking (if collecting it in store) or over the phone at the time of placing your booking (if having your order sent to you).

  • The costumes can be posted to you for an extra $10.95.
  • Customers are required to post the costumes back to us by the following Tuesday at their own expense . We will do our best to help you choose the correct size of costume. Once we post you the costume the hire cost and postage are not refundable under any circumstances.

Alternately you can visit the All Costumes Great and Small retail store and book your costume/s there.  Any booking requires either full payment at the time of booking or a non-refundable $20 deposit (which goes towards paying for the hire (remainder is payable upon collection of the costume/s).

Refunds

We do not give refunds. If you book and pay in full for a costume and, before it has been picked up/sent, you change your mind, we can either exchange it for another costume up to equal value, give you an in-store credit for later use, or give you your money back minus the non-refundable booking fee of $20 per costume.

Once a Costume is out of the store, it is considered a hire and there can be no refunds or exchanges. If your costume is posted to you no refunds will be considered once the costume has left the store. We will do our best to help you choose the correct size costume, once we send you the costume we can not refund the hire cost or postage under any circumstances.

Please note: Easter Bunny & Father Christmas costumes are one day hire only. Bookings must be paid in full when placed, this is non-refundable. This is due to the high demand for a small period of time.
